Here are some of the suggestions made by ABSApro Members from the 2024 Season, 20" Mini Class, Women's Cruiser Class, Scooter Class, Survivor Class, Klunker class, and a Best Set up Class ( MUST HAVE A TOTAL OF 5 BIKES OR MORE IN THE SET UP).

Our mission is to bring together the bike show community across the United States. To have all bike shows run the same way, with the consistent rules and with a detailed and organized judging format. We want to gather the bike show community, promotors, contestants, collectors, to put on family-oriented shows with detailed rules and regulations, a code of conduct, a national point system and a membership to the first bike show specific organization.
At ABSApro we take pride in our staff. All our staff have raced in the sport of BMX for many years, some of them are pros, Hall of Famers and have participated and judged in many shows. Our staff are extremely knowledgeable and qualified when it comes to the different classes of bikes. All our staff are well respected in the sport of BMX and in the bike show community. Our staff sticks to a set standard of judging criteria with a (10) ten-point (5) category point system. The attention to detail plays a big part in our judging system. Our expertise, knowledge and experience is what qualifies us to be the best at what we do.
Our board of directors and staff at the ABSA have an extensive background in BMX and bike shows. ABSApro President, Mark Darcy and ABSApro Vice President, Dino Bartoli, have been involved in BMX for over 40 years and have been a part of the bike show scene for over ten years, promoting and running bike shows such as the GT Triple Crown, Frogtown Classic and many others. Our board members and advisors (seen below) will help us set strategy, manage and provide input to insure the best experience for all our members, from promotors to participants.
Become an ABSApro Member today by signing up here. All ABSApro members receive a standings list on our website for State and National points earned with end of the year awards, swag bag and (1) FREE bike membership registration when you join ABSApro ($3 value). Membership fees are $75.00 per year.
Now that you have purchased an ABSApro, you will want to register each individual bike, including the make and model of the bike and the registration number of the bike, ( you will be given a registration number when you sign up) . This way we can track each bike and the points for each of your bikes at every ABSApro sanctioned show. Bike Registration is $3.00 per bike per year.
Each class will have State and National points awarded at each ABSApro Sanctioned Bike Show and their members. Each class will be awarded points from 1st place up to 8th place. Below is the list of points awarded in each class at each ABSApro Bike Show.
1st = 120
2nd = 100
3rd = 80
4th = 60
5th = 40
6th = 20
7th = 10
8th = 5
Each class will also be awarded Bike count points per class. Example, if you win your class and there are 10 Bikes in your class, you will receive first place points and rider count points, 120 +10 = 130. These point will go into our Data Base and be posted after each and every ABSApro Bike Show.
When you register for an ABSApro Bike Show, your bike will be in the class you registered it in with a bike register number. If you have multiple bikes registered in different classes, they will stay in those registered classes. If you win in multiple classes, those wins stay in that class that the bike is registered in with its registered number. You may not combine other classes and put the points into one class. all points earned are kept in the primary class entered. You may use multiple bikes in one class but each bike will have separate points added to them with their registered number. Let's say you get a 1st, 2nd, and a 5th place in one class, each of those bikes will have separate points. When registering you will have to write down your Name, make, model, and year of the bike and you will receive a separate registration number.
At the end of the year, awards will be given from 1st through 3rd places to ABSApro Members in each of the following classes, there is no limit to how many ABSApro Bike Shows a participant may enter or how many bikes a participant may enter. So, the more ABSApro shows you attend as a Member , the greater chance you will have to be champion of the class or classes you have entered your bike(s) in. There will be a Grand National Champion at the end of the year. The Grand National Champion will be determined by the individual who has the most points with one single bike in one single class. Below is a list of classes eligible for the Championship point system as a ABSApro Member. In 2025 we might be adding a class or two. Stay tuned for more Information to come!

Having been actively building bikes and competing in bike shows for nearly 10 years, Ripley brings a vast array of knowledge to the show with an eye for details. His early years of competing in bike shows were promising yet rendered limited results. Once he began to evaluate where his bikes fell short verses what the winners were doing, his finishing results increased greatly over the years. Now with many first place wins, multiple Best of Show awards and a season championship, Ripley has now been invited to join the judging staff of ABSApro. One thing Ripley is not afraid to do is pick a bike apart with respect as if it was his own bike. He is looking for the flaws and questionable areas as well as what makes a bike awesome at a show quality level with all the cool details. Ripley was asked what makes a winner, he commented, “Something I notice about the ones that win… they are the ones who are at the show early, their bikes are always well prepped before they get there with no adjustments or cleaning needed -other than wiping down finger prints from handling. The main advantage to being early is you have plenty of time to get the bike set up, presented well and to look over your bike… well in advance of the judging to make sure you did not miss any detail.”
